Spellbound Nails: Holly Jolly and Happy Christmas to All (+ giveaway)

*Press Samples
Hi everyone, welcome to Tuesday (where I'm just glad it isn't Monday)!  With wind chill in the negatives this morning and the fact that I just spilled hot chai all over myself, let's hope the kinks have just been worked out for the day :)  Today I have two really beautiful polishes from Spellbound Nails and I created multiple looks with each to show their versatility.

Holly Jolly

First up is Holly Jolly, which to me is a glitter topcoat with microglitters in a cool-toned gold, green, and red.  I wanted to show a bunch of different looks for this polish, so I used three different base colors and also did a mattified version.  The formula was perfect on this polish, very dense with glitter and easy to spread.  I used one coat with no topcoat for all of my swatches.  First up is Holly Jolly over a medium grey, OPI Suzi Takes the Wheel.  Holly Jolly is a freebie that comes with a full size purchase. A mini bottle with the full size Pick 6 or a full size bottle with the full collection.

Next up is the same combination, mattified with OPI Matte Topcoat.  I think this combination looks so sophisticated.

Next up is one coat of Holly Jolly over Zoya Hunter, a deep hunter green.  This was my favorite of the three because I thought it looked so glowy!

Last up is one coat of Holly Jolly over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, a grey tinted white.  I wanted to bring out the colors of the polish and show how dense the glitter is :)

Happy Christmas to All

My second polish is Happy Christmas to All, a deep festive green jelly that represents a Christmas tree in a bottle!  The polish consists of red, green, and gold dots for the ornaments and lights, gold holographic stars, and holographic silver micro bars to represent tinsel.  This polish really is a tree in a bottle....and I love it.  When I got the polish, I actually thought it was black until last night because it looks black in the bottle.  That is why the majority of the swatches are over black, but last night I quickly swatched it on its own and it is gorgeous.

Below is two coats of Happy Christmas to All, with topcoat.  The formula was slightly tricky because it was on the thick side, but that's just because it is packed with glitter.  I didn't have to fish for any glitter, including the stars, below is just what came out on the brush.  This was my favorite looks of both ways that I did.

Below is one coat of Happy Christmas to All over Essie Licorice, a plain black.  I really liked this combination as well because it reminded me of all the Christmas lights on a pitch black night.  Although not the original intention of this polish, I consider it a happy mistake on my part ;)  I think this look would be beautiful for New Years as well.

Now you have the chance to win a the 6 mini polishes of your choice from the 'Twas the Night Before Christmas Collection.
