Zoya Fall Pixiedusts

Fall 2013 Zoya Pixiedusts

*Press Sample

Hi everyone....well it's Monday again.  I hope everyone had a good weekend.  Today I have the newest pixiedust collection from Zoya.  I will just get it out of my system now....I LOVE fall.  It's my favorite season and I love everything about it.  Fall collections and colors also happen to be my favorite so I was really excited to see these.  I think this is definitely my favorite pixiedust collection so far.  The colors exude fall and there is so much sparkly goodness.  I will describe each polish below, and as with all pixiedusts, no basecoat or topcoat was used.  For the photos, I took two in the lightbox, one outside, and then a macro of the bottles.  I hope you enjoy!

Zoya Tomoko

When the press release for these polishes first came out, this was the polish I was ooooh-ing over, and it did not disappoint!  Zoya describes this polish as a champagne silver and I think that is spot on.  This polish is a warm-toned silver and it has really intense sparkle factor that cannot be captured in pictures.  When I took the outside photos, I actually dragged my husband outside to show him how much it sparkled lol.  This polish was the sheerest of the set, and I built up three coats for opacity.

Zoya Chita

Chita is a forest green polish with gold sparkle.  And get this.....one coat for full opacity, not even a super thick coat, just one regular coat.  This is definitely a polish I will be reaching for when I need a quick coat of polish.  The color was very rich and pretty and it is a perfect fall color.  I'm not typically a gold loving person but I was surprised at how much I liked this one, even with the addition of the gold sparkle.

Zoya Sunshine

Next up is Sunshine, which has a little bit of a strange name for a blue polish.  Besides the name, I really loved this one.  Zoya describes this polish as a "Van Gogh" blue, which just seems spot it.  It really has that Starry Night quality.  This blue is a cool-toned navy blue with silver sparkle.  I'm a sucker for blue polishes and this one was amazing.  This again, was one regular coat for full opacity.

Zoya Carter

Okay, in my personal opinion (even knowing how much I love blue and green polish), Carter is the star of the entire collection.  Pictures cannot show how pretty this polish is.  No matter how I photographed it, I could not get it to look like it truly does in real life.  Once I saw the bottle, this polish immediately went on my nails.

This polish is a royal purple with magenta sparkles.  The magenta sparkles are what don't stand out in the picture, but they do in real life.  I used two coats for the photos below, but after wearing it for a day, I will use three in the future because I noticed a few spots where it could have used a little bit more polish.

Zoya Arabella

Arabella was a surprise hit for me as well.  This polish is a rich jewel toned fuchsia with pink sparkles.  I was a little worried that this polish would be too similar to Zoya Miranda from the summer collection but it is quite different.  This polish definitely has a richer color that is true to fall colors and jewel tones.  Miranda has silver sparkle and this one has pink sparkle which I think is what makes it richer.  If I had to pick, I enjoyed this one much more than Miranda.  I used two easy coats for my photos.

Zoya Dhara

Last but not least is Dhara, which Zoya describes as a fiery orange copper.  As soon as I got it, I thought that it was the pixiedust version of Zoya Amy from the Summer 2013 Irresistible collection.  It has a really intense orange color to it and I think it's a perfect fall color.  I totally should wear this when the hubby and I go pumpkin picking :)  I used two easy coats for the swatches below.

Overall, I was really impressed with this collection.  It is my favorite collection of the pixiedusts so far and the colors have an amazing richness to them.  My favorites are Tomoko, Carter, and Chita.  These polishes retail for $9 and can be found at zoya.com.  What are your favorites?

*Polishes were received for review in exchange for my honest opinion.
