Mint and Coral Floral
Hi everyone, welcome to Monday. This week isn't so bad because it's a short work week, yay! Today also marks the first day of my first no-buy. I picked up a few polishes yesterday at Ulta to hopefully tide me over for the month. I'm hoping I can do it :) I'm also eight followers away from my very first giveaway. A few months ago when I started this blog, I chose 125 followers as the goal for my first giveaway. I haven't figured out the prize yet, but it will be something fun!Today I have a really pretty combination of coral and mint. A while back, I saw a tutorial on the website thebeautydepartment.com. They had created a floral mani based on the cover of a journal and also made tutorials to go along with each floral element. I printed out the tutorials that day and saved them so I could try them in the future. I chose one floral element and decided to re-create it on all of my nails. I started with a base of China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint On, a pretty pale mint with a hint of shimmer. I created the flowers with a large dotting tool and China Glaze Mimosa's Before Mani's, a peach with a hint of shimmer. The middle of the flowers was done with a smaller dotting tool and I swirled together Maybelline Color Show Coral Crush and Essie Limited Addiction. I used a very small dotting tool for the black dots and black centers with Essie Licorice. For the flowers, I used a small nail art brush and used OPI Jade is the new black and Butter London The Full Monty (gold). I quite like the result!
