Yay, it's Friday! I feel like I've had a crazy last 24 hours so I'm glad the weekend is coming up. I received a huge etsy order last night so I was scrambling to get that done, then our neighbor's transformer blew up knocking out the power and downing power lines, and to top it all off yesterday I found a doctor via a co-worker who actually diagnosed his food allergies so I scrambled yesterday to make an appointment with him with his office being three hours away. Whew! I need a breather today :) I'm excited for the weekend. I have an eye appointment after work today...yay, no more glasses. One morning last week I woke up and one of my contacts (from my last pair) was missing from my contact case. I'm sure it's a little shriveled artifact somewhere in the bathroom now. Tonight is dinner with friends and then we've got a barbeque to go to Saturday night. I also hoped to go see Iron Man 3 sometime. Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? Onto the polishes! Today I have the second half of the polishes I picked up from the Zoya Earth Day Promo. I really love fall so I did pick up some fall shades. First up is Zoya Noot, a deep grey green. Formula was perfect, shown is two coats with no topcoat. Look at how shiny it is!
Next is Zoya Zuza, an aqua shimmer. Formula was perfect again, this is two coats with no topcoat. I thought this one would be more vibrant than it was, it's still a pretty color though, just not what I expected.
Oh Zoya Jacqueline, I had such high hopes for you. I really loved OPI My Vampire is Buff and I really wanted a second bottle as a backup. To me, it seemed a little crazy to get a second bottle of the same polish so I justified getting a similar color by saying that it was a different brand and technically a different color ha! I didn't like the formula on this one. It was streaky and I needed three very careful coats to cover up the bald spots. Not your typical Zoya formula! The color is a pale nude with a hint of yellow but it lacked the opaqueness of OPI My Vampire is Buff.
My last pick was Zoya Areej. I have been really wanting OPI Dim Sum Plum but couldn't find it anywhere. I thought this color was a pretty close dupe when I looked at it online. Boy is this color pretty. The formula was very good, two coats of the typical Zoya formula and no topcoat. This is a beautiful medium plum color and I really love it!

Flower for Mom Nail Art Challenge: Abstract Flowers
Happy Thursday everyone! I am glad that tomorrow is Friday. Yesterday seemed to take forever so I'm hoping that today and tomorrow go by quickly so I can get to the weekend :) We are finally wrapping up the Flowers for Mom Nail Art Challenge hosted by Paulina's Passions. This was a really fun challenge but way more difficult than I expected. I would have never thought that flowers would be so difficult but I found myself with quite a few duds throughout the challenge. I am happy that I participated because I ended up discovering some really fun designs. Today was one that I really enjoyed. Today's theme was abstract flowers. I wasn't quite sure what to do for this one, so I grabbed my new dotting tools from Born Pretty Store and went to work. I started out with a base of Orly Glowstick. I've been seeing pictures of this neon highlighter yellow polish and just had to have it :) I used my dotting tools to create the larger pink dots in the background using OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender and OPI That's Berry Daring. I did smaller dots on top of those with Essie Licorice and then did the centers with OPI A-taupe the Space Needle and Orly Glowstick. I really liked that I came up with and they are definitely abstract!

Psychometry. Ini kosa kata baru buatku. Aku mungkin nggak bakal tau kalau nggak nonton film Korea "The Gifted Hands - Psychometry".
Eh, apa? Korea? Pipi aja sampe ngomong tumben banget aku mau nonton film Korea. Secara emang dari dulu aku setia banget sama Jepang. Walau Indonesia dan dunia lagi dilanda Korean Wave, aku tetep nggak bisa pindah ke lain hati selain Jepang. Tapi sumpah, film yang satu ini bikin aku 'selingkuh' dikit ke Korea! :p
Film ini masih anyar banget. Baru rilis di Korea tanggal 7 Maret 2013 dan diputar di Blitzmegaplex Indonesia tanggal 5 Mei 2013. Yaay... kita kebagian tayangnya! \(=^u^=)/
Jadi ceritanya, ada seorang detektif konyol bernama Yang Choon-Dong (diperankan Kim Kang-Woo) yang nggak pernah berprestasi dan selalu bikin kekacauan di kantornya. Suatu saat ada seorang ibu yang melaporkan kalau anaknya diculik. Tapi nggak ada satu pun polisi di sana yang menanggapi serius laporan si ibu, kecuali si detektif bodoh itu. Yang Choon-Dong merasa kasus penculikan anak ini serius. Akhirnya, dengan semangat menggebu, si detektif dikasih tugas buat menyelidiki kasus ini sama atasannya.
Kim Kang-Woo sebagai Yang Choon-Dong
Nah, suatu malam, Yang Choon-Dong buang air kecil sembarangan di sebuah tembok. Tanpa dia sadari, di sebelahnya berdiri seorang cowok misterius memakai jaket hoodie hitam yang menutupi kepala dan mukanya. Cowok itu baru aja selesai melukis graffiti di tembok tempat Yang Choon-Dong buang air kecil. Yang Choon-Dong mengajak ngobrol cowok itu soal graffiti yang baru aja dibuatnya. Tapi si cowok malah minggat cuek. Karena nggak terima dicuekin, Yang Choon-Dong ngomel ke cowok itu dan baru aja mau ribut, si cowok udah lebih sigap menyemprotkan pilox yang tadi dipakenya bikin graffiti ke mata Yang Choon-Dong terus si cowok kabur gitu aja.
Sebulan kemudian, di sebuah taman bermain ditemukan mayat anak perempuan si ibu yang dulu pernah melaporkan kasus penculikan anaknya itu ke kantor Yang Choon-Dong. Yang Choon-Dong merasa bersalah karena nggak berhasil mengungkap kasus penculikan itu. Malamnya, Yang Choon-Dong menonton berita di televisi soal penemuan mayat anak perempuan tersebut. Dan seketika Yang Choon-Dong kaget saat berita itu menayangkan TKP penemuan mayat yang direkam reporter dari jembatan yang berada di atas taman. Pasalnya, lokasi itu persis dengan lukisan graffiti di tembok yang dibuat si cowok misterius sebulan sebelumnya. Bahkan kondisi mayat saat ditemukan pun persis dengan gambar graffiti di tembok.

Penasaran setengah busyet, Yang Choon-Dong pun menyelidiki si cowok misterius. Yang Choon-Dong menduga cowok itu adalah pelakunya, secara dia bisa melukis sama persis kasus penculikan dan pembunuhan anak perempuan tersebut. Setelah akhirnya berhasil menemukan si cowok yang tinggal sendirian di sebuah atap gedung bobrok, alih-alih menangkap, ternyata Yang Choon-Dong mendapati hal yang sama sekali nggak diduganya. Cowok misterius yang kemudian diketahui namanya Kim Joon (diperankan Kim Bum) itu ternyata adalah seseorang yang memiliki kemampuan psychometry. Ini diketahui Yang Choon-Dong saat tangan Kim Joon menyentuh tangannya waktu dia hendak menangkap Kim Joon. Ekspresi dan mata Kim Joon tiba-tiba berubah, dan dia mengatakan tentang masa lalu kelam Yang Choon-Dong yang nggak mungkin diketahui orang lain. Itulah sebabnya juga kemudian Yang Choon-Dong mengetahui bagaimana Kim Joon bisa melukis graffiti yang sama persis dengan kasus penculikan yang tengah ditanganinya. Dan ternyata bukan cuma itu. Kim Joon juga kerap mendapatkan clues berbagai kejahatan lainnya melalui kemampuannya, hingga membuatnya merasa tersiksa dan akhirnya memilih hidup menyendiri.

Sejak menyadari itu, Yang Choon-Dong meminta maaf sekaligus meminta bantuan Kim Joon untuk menolongnya mengungkap kasus penculikan dan pembunuhan anak dengan kemampuannya itu sebelum jatuh korban berikutnya. Awalnya Kim Joon sempat menolak karena dia nggak mau siapa pun tau tentang kemampuannya. Tapi karena merasa berhutang budi setelah ditolong Yang Choon-Dong dari orang-orang yang mengeroyoknya, Kim Joon pun bersedia membantu meski taruhannya nyawa. Ya, soalnya kemampuan psychometry yang dimiliki Kim Joon bisa membahayakan dirinya sendiri setiap kali digunakan. Minimal Kim Joon bakal mimisan tiap kali 'baca' histori dari objek yang dipegangnya. Bahkan nggak jarang Kim Joon muntah darah dan lemas kehabisan tenaga tiap kali menggunakan psychometry-nya.

Di sinilah dimulai keseruan duet Yang Choon-Dong dan Kim Joon untuk mengungkap kasus penculikan dan pembunuhan anak. Namun, di tengah penyelidikan, keduanya mendapat hambatan setelah Kim Joon dicurigai dan ditangkap oleh rekan dan atasan di kantor Yang Choon-Dong. Nggak tau apa alasannya, Kim Joon malah mengatakan kalau dialah pelaku yang mereka cari selama ini setelah menunjukkan psychometry-nya di ruang interogasi di hadapan para penyidik, termasuk rekan dan atasan Yang Choon-Dong yang menangkapnya.
Nah, lho! Apa yang terjadi selanjutnya? Penasaran? Cari tau sendiri aja dengan nonton langsung film ini! :p
Yang pasti menurutku film Korea yang satu ini beda. Jarang banget aku nemuin film Korea dengan genre kayak gini. Seru, tegang, bikin penasaran, dan asik banget dipantengin dari awal sampe finish. Ditambah lagi si Kim Bum di film ini kakkoi banget. Aku suki banget sama hairstyle dia di film ini. Hei, jarang banget lho aku muji aktor Korea! Hehe. Tapi jujur, aku nggak bisa menutupi kekagumanku sama akting dan penampilan si Kim Bum sebagai Kim Joon. Aura misteriusnya dapet banget. Dan ekspresi cool dan datarnya itu... aduh, bikin melting banget!! >,<

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday! I don't know about you, but I always get thrown off by three day weekends. I think I am especially thrown off because I haven't been home for six days which seems like a really long time. I'm back home now and my hubby surprised me with some nice gardening around the yard. My cats were all over me when I got home so I guess they missed me :) Now it's time to get back in a normal rhythm again!
Today I wanted to share Part 1 of two parts of my Zoya Earth Day Promotion picks. I have three today and four in the second part. Today also includes Zoya Kate which I won in a giveaway :) I will just say that all of these polishes had a typical perfect Zoya formula, two coats with no topcoat.
First up is Zoya Bevin. This color is a dusty, greyed-out blue green. I really have wanted OPI Thanks a Windmillion and I thought this would be a close dupe for it. I loved the color on this one.
Second is Zoya Song. I spent a decent amount of time before the promo looking through different blogs to come up with the colors I wanted. I picked this polish because I love a good blue or green and this one has something special about it. It's a cobalt blue with a shimmery quality that makes it just glow.
Third is Zoya Kate. This is the polish that I won in a giveaway. I wasn't sure that I would like the color. In the bottle it seemed to be a dusty rose type of color but I had to wear it to like it. On the nail it turned out to have a little bit of a raspberry color which I really liked.
Last up is Zoya Suri. I picked this polish to essentially be a purple cousin to Zoya Song. I was not disappointed. It has a really cool shimmery finish that also makes it shine and glow. So pretty!
